Q. How does Piink Studio work?

A. The Piink Studio workout works on a work/recover basis, encouraging its members to work hard on the hydraulic machines whilst using the jogging squares to prepare themselves for the following machine. After warming up on the jogging square, you should try to maintain your target heart rate for the duration of your workout. It is entirely up to you how hard you push yourself during your workout.

Q. What will Piink Studio do for me?

A. The main benefit of Piink Studio is inch loss. During your 30 minute workout you will burn lots of calories, from 350 – 750, depending on the intensity of your workout. You will also be building muscle, which increases your metabolism. 1lb of muscle burns up to 50 more calories than 1lb of fat.

Q. I have never done exercise before, can I use Piink Studio?

A. Yes! Anyone can use Piink Studio, regardless of their age, size or level of fitness. The main reason for this is that you go at your own pace whilst doing the workout. You adapt the resistance of each machine to suit your level or effort. If you are in doubt, you should check with your doctor before signing up to become a member at Piink Studio.

Q. Will my muscles ache or feel sore from Piink Studio?

A. No. This is because of the use of hydraulic resistance. There is no “negative” resistance with the machines, as there is with weight machines and so due to this, your muscles will not suffer from soreness. The following day you will suffer from slight fatigue, but not soreness.

Q. Will I develop large muscles from Piink Studio?

A. No, much for the same reason they will not ache. You will notice that they feel and appear stronger, more toned and leaner, which will help increase your resting metabolism, which means that you will be burning more calories with everyday activities.

Q. Will I lose weight at Piink Studio?

A. Yes and no. You will lose inches and body fat, but because muscle weighs more than fat, you may not lose pounds off the scale every month.

Q. How much does it cost to be a member?

A. The cost of membership depends on which type of membership you choose to take up. We have peak and off-peak member packages, as well as Young at Heart and students deals. Being a member of Piink Stdio will cost you around only 90p per day!

Q. How many times a week can I visit Piink Studio?

A. You are free to visit Piink Studio as often as you like during our opening hours. We advise that you do the workout at least 3 times a week.

Q. Is the doing the workout better than dieting?

A. Diets by themselves have been proven over the long run to not be a permanent way of weight loss. Combining both exercise and healthy eating is the best and most effective way to maintaining weight loss.
